Juliet Dunlop-Fraser —

The Junior Boys' Basketball team had a good day competing at the BOP Junior Tournament held at the ASB Arena on Friday 4th August.

Entered in the Boys' B Grade Division, our team played really well, putting together some really nice plays and baskets and representing their school well. They narrowly lost their first game 32-20 against Tauranga Boys College C in a game they probably should have won, reinforcing the need to make points count when you can. The second game they dominated hugely winning by a massive 50-4 over Trident B. This put them in the play-off for 3rd and 4th against Te Kura Kokiri in which they played well for a good win.

The Senior Girls' played Te Puke A on Wednesday night and had a mighty game really putting together their team work. It was a good tough game in which all the girls worked hard. Charkiah Redden has got better and better and was Player of the Day with her amazing shooting and pulling off some great intercepts - 43-23. This result puts the Katikati College Girls into the semi-finals.

Well done to our Basketballers!
