Katikati College sent 3 bowlers to the BOP Secondary School Champs held in Mount Maunganui in September.  

Year 9 student Joshua McClean, already an accomplished bowler and a BOP representative this year, competed in the singles. A very composed bowler, Josh competed well all day, coming 4th.

Pairs Rose Raynor and Caitlin Thornburn, also Year 9, had a great day, working well together and finishing Runner-up in the Girls Pairs Division - a great result for them. Thanks to Bruce Lannam from the KK Indoor Bowls Club who has been working with the team and coaching them. If there are any other interested students who would like to join the Indoor Bowls Team they should come and see the Sports Coordinator at school.
