Trent Turner recently won Gold at the NZ Grappler event for Jiu Jitsu at the ASB Stadium in Auckland.

There was a record competitor turnout for the 2016 Gi Nationals with over 480 all vying for the top national positions in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Fighting in the Adult GI Men's Event (up to 82.3kg) Trent, who is a ‘white belt’ competitor for the Martial Arts Academy in Tauranga, won all 5 bouts to take the Gold Medal.
