Congratulations to Libby Bradley who has been selected for the Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) Youth Team - known as the Junior Black Fins.

Libby will compete at the 2016 Lifesaving World Championships (Rescue 2016) to be held in the Netherlands in September.

The Junior Black Fins team consists of 12 athletes, six male and six female. The Lifesaving World Championships are held every two years and attract competitors from over 40 nations. The team will compete over four days with two days of pool events and two days of beach and ocean events. The Junior Black Fins will travel alongside the NZ Open team (The Black Fins).

Libby is one of three Mount Maunganui Lifeguards to gain selection to the team, the other two being males, and they are the only athletes to be selected for the Junior Team from the Bay of Plenty clubs.

Congratulations Libby - we are very proud of your achievements!
