Our Special Olympics Football Team took on the Bay of Plenty schools at the annual Otumoetai Tournament.

The team is now quite experienced as they have played together in 2 previous tournaments. First up was Te Puke High School and  they played really well to win 2-0. The 2nd game vs Tarawera was excellent again with a 5-0 win followed by another good win against Otumoetai. In the final they came unstuck against TBC, finishing 2nd overall.

Ryan Owen was the stand-out player with great fitness and good, unselfish passing.

 Our team is looking forward to their next fixture which is an invitational tournament in Pukekohe on 23rd June.
