On Wednesday, 23 November, the University of Waikato visited Katikati College as part of their outreach program. We had Nilesh Kanji visit us, he is a senior tutor and lecturer at the University of Waikato. He visited some of our Year 9 and Year 10 ICT students where he taught some Computer Science and programming to them. The activities involved coding an image drawing program and some photo manipulation. The students enjoyed the session and have gained insight into the possible pathways in the IT industry.
