On the June 14 the Drama Extension group submitted our 11 minute student directed scene from Twelfth Night to this competition.

Our Shakespeare players were - Eugene Pfenning, Pippa Johnson and Chloe Cowdell (Year 9), Blake Judson, Eric Ross and Antonia Judson (Year 10).

We had been working on this since before and after lock down, we only had a small amount of time to prepare our performance. The Drama extension group worked tirelessly throughout lunchtime and intervals.

Our first performance in front of an audience was nerve-racking for all of us, but it was fun and we had a good laugh. The next day we rehearsed our scene at least five times to record the best of our Shakespearian abilities and submitted our performance online. As student director, I learnt that it is quite challenging to organise a group and it takes lots of practice to have everything ready for performance. I would definitely do this again and we are already looking at new Shakespearean plays to explore.
