Lip Sync 2017

Cameron Waghorn —

Lip Sync was very successful this year. We had a great turnout and a very supportive audience.

In the Junior School Jasmine Nora, Makayla Managh, Pippa Weeks, Cassandra Sherriff and Emily Davison won first place with their version of 'Tragedy'.

In second place was Monika Ross and Hannah Smith with third place going to ‘Pourua 2K17’ which was made up of the whole of Pourua class.

In the Senior School section first place was ‘Brad and Janet’ performed by Jonathan Taylor and Davinder Kumar.

‘Battle of the Pop Stars’ (a combined Yr10-12 group) came second and in third were Zen Carter, Jake Hannah and Otis Burrell-Ellery.

The entertainment for the night was provided by the Year 13 class and challenged by the teachers.

Thank you to our judges;  dance teacher Christin Wilks, Katch Katikati coordinator Kirsten Crockett and Radio Live Broadcaster, Tony Amos for taking the time to come and judge.

It’s really awesome to have community members come and support our Performing Arts at Katikati College. Also thank you to all our sponsors; Katikati Four Square, Subway, Sunnys, Choice Variety, Dreamers and Paper Plus.

Most importantly, a big thank you our techie boys for their amazing work with the lights and sounds - they did an outstanding job along with our Emcees Cameron Waghorn (Arts Captain) and Fergus Chinnery (Head Boy).
