Our Year 9 students are participating in the ‘Watties/ Salvation Army Challenge’ to collect cans of food, create a structure with the cans for a New Zealand wide competition and then donate the cans to our local food bank. 

To collect enough cans to create our structure we are having a "Mufti Day" on Friday 11th November when we will ask the students to bring a can of food (not money) as their payment. During the 14 – 18th November we will be building our structure of something iconic to Katikati.

We hope that all our remaining students at school will be able to participate in the mufti day by donating a can of food and our Year 9 students who will create a structure we can be proud of and support our community as we come ever closer to Christmas and the time of giving.
