Katikati College MTB team earned themselves a podium placing in their first attempt in the North Island School Mountain Bike Cross Country Championships in the recent school holidays.

Three students went to Summerhill MTB park on October 6 to compete in the NISS MTB XC Championships. Year 8 student Dylan Wilmshurst competed first in the U14 boys division and came in 21st. Racheal Williams then raced in the U14 girls and did very well finishing 9th and  Connor Wilmshurst was 19th in the U16 boys race. In the Mixed Junior Relay Katikati College came third, performing really well in the hot conditions. This was their first team event and a fantastic achievement at this high level. Congratulations to all three students.
