From 4th - 7th August our Katikati College Boys Squash Team went to Palmerston North for the New Zealand Secondary Schools Squash teams tournament.

The team of Glenn Templeton, Owen Whalley, Cole Clement, Dan Astwood, Justin Coxhead and Ethan Lal were seeded 20th out of 33 teams. Their first match was against Hutt International Boys High School who were seeded 13th. Against all the odds our boys won and moved up to 13th seed! 

Unfortunately our number one player, Glenn Templeton, was ill and could not play for the rest of the tournament. This meant everyone had to move up one place in the team. There were some outstanding matches and some excellent squash with all the boys rising to the challenge of playing above their grade. 

Overall the team ended up coming 16th which was an outstanding effort.
