Katikati College Athletics Sports was held on March 9. A great crowd and huge participation made it an awesome day.

A record was broken by Aisake Vakasiuola in the Intermediate Boys Shot Put adding 0.59m to his brother Tomasi's previous throw. Jess Harray also beat her previous shot put record by 1cm.

Following on from this the College took a strong team across to Paeroa to compete against the other Thames Valley schools. Ben Montford, fresh off a gold medal win at the WBOP Childrens champs, having jumped a personal best of 1.73m, was a hot favourite to take out the Junior Boys High jump and did so easily. Other great results were:Makayla Managh 1st Triple Jump, 2nd Long Jump Gemma Groenewald 1st 800m, 2nd 1500m, Sean Nicholson 1st 800m, 2nd 1500m.
