Congratulations to Abby Lusby who was awarded ‘Top Student Overall’ for Waikato / Bay of Plenty PITA – Level 2

Taratahi (Waikato / Bay of Plenty Region) held their annual Graduation night on Friday 25th November in Putaruru. Families, guests, supporters and staff came to celebrate the effort and success of our students for 2016.

Taratahi has been delivering the PITA (Primary Industries Trades Academy), Level 1 and 2 Agricultural Programmes in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty for the past three years.

Up for grabs every year is the award for ‘Top Student’ for each group and the award for ‘Top Student Overall’ covering both Level 1 and 2. For the 2016 year we had a total of 71 students, in 10 groups, from 8 schools participating in the Level 2 programme and our own Abby Lusby (following in the footsteps of her older sister) received the award for ‘Top Student’ for her group. Abby then went on to receive the ‘Top Student Overall – Waikato / Bay of Plenty PITA - Level 2”. (The criteria for this award is based on attendance, attitude, behaviour and work ethic).
