These are the key values that underpin everything we do at Katikati College. By showing and modelling these values as a school, staff and student body we are aiming to create learning environments which are predictable, consistent, positive and safe.

By being explicit with our students of our expectations, we are then able to recognise those who are meeting them and be clear with those that aren't of what the consequences will be. Our students are recognised through our BTB (Better Thank Before) and ARC cards, letters home, ARC awards and badges.

Students are now able to use their BTB cards to 'purchase' items from our BTBuys shop. This shop is run by members of our Student Council and students can get stationery items, canteen vouchers, handballs etc with their completed BTB cards. The BTBuys Shop has allowed all students to see that positive behaviours around our school can be recognised in some way.
