Year 11 and 12 International Market Day

Sue Grant —

Another very successful International Market Day was held by Year 11 and 12 Business Studies students on Wednesday March 28. Students chose a country and then a typical dish from that country. These included Germany with German Hot Dogs, India with Biryani, France with French crêpes, Venezuela with Arepas (Venezuelan style burgers) and many more.

Year 12 students run their business based on a community focus and to do this they donated 50% of their profits to charity. We chose Waipuna Hospice this year as our charity. These students have to hold two market days. The second will be on Friday June 29 during our Cultural Week.
