Aongatete Forest visits

Louise Buckley —

As part of their learning for Term 1, the year 9 students have been visiting the Aongatete Forest Project to learn about the impact of pests on our native plants and animals.

The students were fortunate to work with staff from the project to learn about some of the predators and the work that the project does to eradicate them. The Aongatete Forest Restoration Trust works to remove introduced pests from 500 Ha of native forest in the Kaimai Mamaku Forest Park.
