To be in the top twelve teams of 200 teams is an amazing achievement and resulted in our sending a team to the regional finals at the beginning of Term 3.
Bradley Scott, Liam Kean, Miles Jonson and Tim Wiebes travelled to Matamata to compete. The challenges were based on computer games and the team started well, completing one full challenge (based on the game tetris) to secure the bonus points.
At stages of the competition the students were placed 2nd. In the end they fell just short of a top placing, 20 points behind second equal which was shared by three teams. So 5th overall, but the 3rd highest score on the night. My thanks to all the teams that competed, to the parents for their support and Katikati College for hosting a round and a semi final.
