Four Year 7 & 8 tennis players competed in the WBOP Tennis Champs at Papamoa Tennis Courts in September.  

In beautiful but very hot and humid conditions, it was the first time at this event for singles player Chantelle Wenzlick who played very well to finish runner up in the 2nd Division.

New doubles pairing Dawson Salmons and Sam Fearon also had a great day and gained a lot of experience.

Representative tennis player Josh Noble didn't have a good day as he struggled with illness and eventually had to pull out. Hopefully local club Homewood can keep the young players coming through to increase our participation at these events.
