These championships took place in the second week of the last school holidays in Gisborne.

Katikati College had four surfers representing the Coromandel region, with Tanner Hayes and Hamish Lorney in the U18 team, Thomas Carter in the U16 team and  Jayden Gordon representing the U14s in his first Scholastics competition.
Tanner and Thomas made it to the quarter finals. Hamish just missed out on the quarter finals as did Jay.The Coromandel team finished in seventh place ahead of Waikato, Otago, West Coast & Wellington.
