A group of Year 12 Katikati College students were very fortunate to be sponsored by Bay of Plenty horticultural research and innovation company, StartAfresh, to attend the biennial Zespri Momentum Conference at Trust Power Arena on February 13 and 14.

Learning names games, coordinated team balloon tying and blindfolded weka walks were only a few of the activities Year 13 Peer Support Leaders used to welcome our new Year 7 cohort to our school on their first day to ease their transition into our school.

This local youth rowing club is having a family fund-raising Movie Night to raise funds for a much-needed pontoon on the Wairoa river adjacent to the club, which will also be available to the public.

Outward Bound New Zealand is a not for profit organization offering personal development courses in the outdoors for New Zealanders young and old.
