As we head towards the 50th Reunion of Katikati College at Labour Weekend, there has been a great deal to celebrate over the last few weeks.

Our Senior Prize Giving, which is the highlight of our academic year for senior students, will be held in the Action Centre on Wednesday 2nd November at 7pm.  All welcome.

Katikati College Netball has achieved great heights this year with 10 of our 14 teams making their semi-finals, 5 going onto their finals and 2 teams winning their division. 

Congratulations to Kyle Russell and his family who won the Term 3 $200 grocery voucher draw. Another draw will be held at the end of this term for all those families who have paid their school donation - so get your donation paid and be in to win! One Child $80; Two Children $120; Family $160

Katikati College sent 3 bowlers to the BOP Secondary School Champs held in Mount Maunganui in September.  

Four Katikati Squash Juniors were in teams that recently qualified to represent the Bay of Plenty region at National tournaments held 21-25 September throughout New Zealand.

This National Squash Tournament was run during the school holidays from 29th Sept -2nd Oct in Hamilton. Once again Katikati was well represented at this tournament with Glenn Templeton, Katie Templeton, Owen Whalley, Dan Astwood and Olivia Astwood playing their respective Age Group divisions.

The annual Past vs Present Sports Day will be held in conjunction with the Katikati College Reunion being held over Labour Weekend.  

Katikati College sent a team of 3 girls to the North Island Snowboarding Champs in September.  

Ryan Crapp has been away at the NZ Secondary School Clay Target Championships in Christchurch. His amazing year of shooting has continued with him winning the High Over-all NZ Skeet Shooting Title. He also won the South Island Skeet Title and was Runner up in the NZ Aggregate High Gun. He was selected for the North Island Skeet team that beat the South Island team, plus he placed 5th in the Overall NZ Single Rise event. Well done Ryan!

The annual TVSS Volleyball tournament was held at Katikati College on Wednesday 21st Sept. A good turnout this year saw 9 girls’ teams entered and 6 boys’ teams.  

The Senior Girls’ Basketball team has finished a very successful first season by winning the B Grade Girls’ League in the Tauranga City Basketball Competition. 

Jayden Double, following his achievements in Crossfit, competed in the 2016 NZ Secondary Schools Olympic Weightlifting Competition in Auckland.  

Our extremely popular AFTER SCHOOL SURFING PROGRAMME  is starting back up in term 4

The Youth Camp and Exchange Program (YCE) brings the ideal of global citizenship to life.
