Stephen Harlan Breakfast Supervisor Retires after 18 years

Celebrating a True Hero: Stephen Harlan 🎉

Stephen has delighted thousands of children with his scrumptious toast at Monday Breakfast Club over the past 18 years! 🥳🍞✨

We are here to celebrate and honour Stephen's incredible commitment to Katikati Primary School's Monday Breakfast Club over the past 18 years! His unwavering efforts and hard work have made a significant impact on our school community, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Stephen's hard work and dedication have been truly inspiring, and we are so grateful for everything he has done. He is not just a fantastic supervisor; he's also the best jam maker we've ever known! With his delicious jam, Stephen has made so many children smile. The school supplies the sugar, and he brings the fruit and his time to make it all happen. 🍓🥄

Stephen has also taken great care of his team of volunteers, and he never misses a beat. With all of our volunteers supporting so many areas in our school, including Breakfast Club and reading support, we owe them so much. We are so lucky to have such a great team, and Stephen is a huge part of that.

Stephen has shared how much he’s enjoyed watching the children grow throughout their years at school, from Year 1 to Year 6, and then reconnecting with them in the years that follow. It’s clear that the connections he’s made with the students mean a lot to him, as many children—now young adults—stop to visit him when they see him in and around town.

Even though he is retiring, we are thrilled that he will still help out when needed and continue making his delicious jam. We can't thank Stephen enough for all that he has done and all that he will continue to do.

With heaps of gratitude,

Katikati Primary School 🎓✨
