Open Morning - Friday 14th March
🏫Attention Parents! If your child is starting school between April 30th and June 27th, please RSVP for our Learning Open Morning.🌟
📚We invite parents and their children, who are turning five years old between April 30th and June 27th, to join us for our Learning Open Morning.
All children who are entering school for the first time need three visits before they actually start school (two Friday visits and one Thursday visit).
Visits: Commence Friday 14th March
Time: 9.30am to 11.00am
What to Bring: Children should bring a piece of🍎 fruit or 🥕vegetable for fruit break at 10am.
Book your Visit: Email Lynda Massey on kkpsDPJnr@katikati.school.nz
Pop into the school office anytime between 8am - 4pm.
Birth certificates
Birth certificates or passport must be produced when enrolling children for the first time.
Overseas Children
Passport with appropriate documentation (i.e. Residence / Student Visa) is required to be sighted for children enrolling from overseas.
Immunisation records (New Entrants)
Immunisation Certificates are now required for all new entrants.
All Primary Schools nationwide are now required to maintain a register recording all relevant detail i.e.: whether the child is immunised or not. The local medical centre will issue your child’s immunisation certificate showing details.
In the event of an outbreak of a contagious disease (including Diphtheria, Pertussis also known as Whooping Cough, tetanus, hepatitis, poliomyelitis, Rubella, Measles, Morbilli and Mumps) the children with the illness will be asked to remain at home. The Medical Officer of Health can then view the immunisation register and any children who are not immunised or have no certificate can then be identified and their parents/caregivers contacted to further discuss the options to further protect their children.
Looking forward to meeting you and your little ones at this exciting event! 🌟🏫
