Message from the Principal

There are a lot of events happening this term, with much for the children to look forward to.

Kia ora Katikati Primary Whānau,

🚦 A Big Thank You to Our Amazing Road Patrollers! 🚦

Our road patrol students have truly outdone themselves this year, doing a fantastic job keeping our children, friends, and families safe as they cross our busy crossings each day. Their dedication and commitment have made a real difference! A huge well done to each of you—you’ve earned a well-deserved day of fun Thursday 28th November at Baywave pools. Enjoy!

Year 5 & 6 Athletics Day Success! On Friday 8th November, our Year 5 and 6 students had an action-packed day on the school backfield for Athletics Day! From long jump and high jump to discus, shot put, cricket ball throw, and sprints (60m, 100m, and even an 800m race!), our students gave it their all. With 32 events organised by our fantastic teachers, the kids had a blast and showed incredible effort and sportsmanship. Well done to everyone who took part—you made us proud!

Our Team Leaders are busy planning some unforgettable end-of-year celebrations for our children! Keep an eye out for details and permission slips, which will be coming home in the next few weeks. Let's make this a fantastic wrap-up to an incredible year.

I'm sure your calendar for the rest of November and December is filling up quickly. Here are some upcoming events and reminders:

  • Music Concert - a reminder that if your child takes part in our Music Enhancement Programme, their end of year concert is after school on the 29th November in our school hall.

  • Athletics Events - check the school calendar for details on upcoming athletics events and join us in supporting our budding athletes.

  • For further updates go to the Term 4 Calendar in our newsletter.

As a reminder the newsletter from 2025 will only be available by email, school website and Facebook. If your contact details have changed, please email the office kkpsadmin@katikati.school.nz

Let’s keep bringing that positive energy and making every week count as we head into the final stretch of the year. Here’s to even more amazing moments ahead!

Ngā mihi nui,

Andrea Nicholson
