Kia ora whānau

Welcome back to 2020!  We have completed our first full week here at Kaurilands and what a week it has been. It has been lovely seeing the school full of children and families again, smiles on faces and learning routines getting underway.

Our Year 6 children have spent this week having an incredible time at Finlay Park Camp at Lake Karapiro. I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days down there to see our children in action. What a fabulous way to start the year. A big thank you to the incredible group of parents and teachers who dedicated their time to make this week an amazing experience for these children. More photos to come in our next newsletter.

It’s our Year 5 children up next as they head to Camp Adair for three days from Monday.

The children are settling in to their new classes and establishing routines. Be sure to pop into class either before school or after school to meet your child’s teacher and have a look at their class environment. We look forward to seeing these environments fill up with beautiful artwork and student work as the term progresses.

We look forward to working with you all again this year.
