Principal's Message
Kia ora e te whānau
It is hard to believe we are nearly half way through Term 4! Over the past two weeks our children have taken part in a number of exciting trips and sporting events. Our Year 2 children have visited the Arataki Visitor Centre, Year 3 and 4 have visited the New Zealand Maritime Museum and our senior students have taken part in their athletics day and football tournament.
The next half of this term is going to be very busy, with lots of exciting things planned. Next week our extension kapa haka rōpū will be performing at the Kōtuitui Kapa Haka Showcase. Our second disco for the year is coming up next Friday which I know the children are really looking forward to. Our Mid Term Assembly is coming up in Week 6 on Wednesday 20th November, where our Pasifika group will be performing, and we will end Week 6 with our Year 3 sleepover!
Later in the term we have Year 3 and 4 athletics, a Pasifika Fiafia night, Year 1 gym trip, Year 4 Cornwallis trip, Year 1 Christmas picnic and lots of end of year celebrations for our Year 6 graduates. More information about these events will be shared with you in the coming weeks. Before we know it, it will be the end of the year!
A couple of reminders now that we are enjoying more and more sunshine. Our school pool will be open for swimming from next week. Please ensure that your children wear sunblock and have a hat to wear at school everyday.
Ngā mihi
