News from Rūma 1
Over the last few weeks, Rūma Tahi have been learning all about protests with a particular focus on some key events in Aotearoa history. We have studied the Women’s Suffrage Movement, the 1981 Springbok Tour, and the anti-nuclear protests. Our students have engaged critically with some very serious topics! We had fun making our own protest signs for these events, where we saw a clear message and a simple picture were the most effective ways to get our messages across.
