News from Rūma 2a

Stephen Gillard —

Room 2a's Matariki artwork showcases the incredible creativity and effort of our students. They have been hard at work creating art that celebrates the different whetū (stars) of Matariki. Using a variety of art styles and mediums such as collage and detailed pencil art, each piece is a unique gift for friends and whānau. These beautiful creations are currently on display in the hall and will be sent home next term to be shared with their intended recipients.

In addition to their artistic endeavors, our students have been learning about the significance of Matariki through our reading programme, exploring the different aspects each star signifies. Come and see the amazing talent and dedication of our young artists as they bring the stories and meanings of Matariki to life!
