This week we've been celebrating Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori / Māori Language Week. On Wednesday our whole kura participated in the annual Māori Language Moment.  This was part of a national commemorative event to mark the 50th anniversary of the Māori language petition.  At midday all our tamariki congregated together on the Year 2 court and sang two waiata: Tihei Mauri Ora and a Te Reo version of the Hokey Tokey.
