Principal's Message
Kia ora e te whānau
Congratulations to our 12 Student Leaders for 2025! We are so proud of you all and look forward to seeing what can be achieved this year. I was so proud of all the Year 6 children who applied and came for interviews. It was a very difficult job choosing this year's leaders from such a talented cohort.
There are other leadership opportunities coming up soon for children to be part of - sports leadership and peer mediating. I am very proud of all our Year 6 classes who had a fantastic start to the year at camp and in the weeks that have followed. Well done seniors!
The term has flown by and will be over in 2 weeks. A reminder we have our Parent Information Evening on Tuesday 1st April at 6pm. We will be sharing presentations about the content of the Maths and English curriculums and changes that have occurred. We would love to see as many of you attending as possible.
I have just been down to see our fantastic Cross Country team in action at the interschool competition at Konini School. I was so impressed by the way all team members supported each other, cheered for each other and represented Kaurilands proudly. Thanks to Leanne for organising our participation in this event and to the many parents who helped with transport, marshalling and supporting! What an amazing crew!
A massive thank you to everyone who helped us out on Wednesday with the power pole crisis out the front of the school. It was a true team effort to get our children into school safely. Having no power for a day makes us very grateful that this is not the norm!
I hope to see you all over the next couple of weeks before the holidays.
