Principal's Message

Jo Augustine —

Kia ora e te whānau

It's getting close! Not long to go now until the end of the school year for 2023. It is a very busy time at school but we are here and available to see you if and when you need us. This can be a stressful time so if there is anything school can do to support whānau, please do let us know.

There are many end of year activities planned over the next two and a half weeks and we hope you are all able to join us for some of these. Last Friday we farewelled Shannon Payne who has been teaching in Room 4b as she is due to have her baby shortly. We wish Shannon all the very best for the upcoming arrival and thank her for her time at Kaurilands.

If you didn't know already, we have a couple of other babies due early in 2024, both Sarah and Lucy from Room 9 are expecting.

Nick Van Den Borst, team leader of Year 6 has won a study grant for 2024 to complete his Masters. Nick's grant is for 32 weeks. We congratulate Nick and will see him during the 40 days he will be at school!

There are some changes with staffing for 2024. We will let you know our organisation in the next newsletter.
