In Week 7 Year 0/1 held a Plant Show to celebrate and showcase the skills our tamariki developed throughout their Growing inquiry unit. I was so impressed with the way Room 18 took responsibility for their Little Garden and beanstalks. They planted seeds, watered them, checked they were getting enough sun, re-planted them when they grew too big for their pots and even built a planter garden! This class demonstrated their ability to take ownership of their learning and work collaboratively with their peers while having a lot of fun along the way!
