Moonhack: Coding World Record

Rachel Thorpe —

We helped to break a world record, most kids coding at one time! Well done Kaurilands Kids!

Last Thursday a group of students ran a schoolwide coding event called "Moonhack"where every child at school tried coding. Moonhack is organised by Code Club Australia and this year kids from all over the planet were doing moon themed coding projects.

Code is the language that computers speak, and being able to write code and understand how computers work is a great skill in today's world. If you are keen to keep improving your coding skills come to after school coding on a Thursday after school in the staffroom. Email rachelt@kaurilands.school.nz if you are interested in joining, it's free!
