Chicken Pox are doing the rounds again at school and we have had many, many children off sick with them.  The Ministry of Health Guidelines state that "a child is infectious from up to 5 days before appearance of the rash until lesions have crusted (usually about 5 days) and therefore most stay away from school for 1 week from the date of the appearance of the rash".  If you suspect your child has Chicken Pox, we would be obliged if you could abide by these Ministry guidelines and keep them off for the appropriate time.  Please inform the office if your child does have Chicken Pox.
