We have been learning about our pepeha in Te Reo Māori and created these art works to celebrate our heritage.

Students identified which mountain (maunga) and ocean (moana) represent where their family currently live.  We used this information to write our pepeha and then practiced saying it aloud with the correct pronunciation.

In art we created a visual representation of our heritage, drawing our mountain and ocean and adding one koru to represent each family member.   We finished off our work by adding our photo and a copy of our pepeha.
