Laura the Librarian —

Auckland Writers Festival school trip

We had an awesome day out this week at the Auckland Writers Festival. We took 30 Year 5 and Year 6 children to the Aotea Centre in the city. We heard the authors Lev Grossman, James Russell and Kirli Saunders talk about books, reading and writing. It was an inspiring day and the children got a chance to meet the authors and get books signed by them.

Hell Pizza Reading Challenge is back for 2023

We are taking part this year in the Hell Pizza Reading Challenge - children will receive a stamp on their pizza wheel for each book they read.

After seven books they can get a free kids size pizza. It runs until January 2024.

If your child would like to take part all they have to do is let Laura or Mrs McDonald in the library know.
