Some lucky Year 5 and 6 children had a special visit from Sir Ian Hassall last week, grandfather of our very own Charlotte and Tom.  Sir Ian was knighted in the New Year Honours this year for his services to children, especially for his instalment as the first Children's Commissioner in New Zealand.  He shared some of his knowledge and experiences with us, showed us his official certificate of knighthood, and even knighted some of us!  It was such a special and interesting talk and we are so grateful to Sir Ian for coming to visit.
