KAURILANDS FOOD FAIR NIGHT

Dear Whānau

2019 sees the return of the Kaurilands School Fair – with a twist! From 5pm – 8pm on Friday 15 November, the school will be turned into a foodie heaven with food stalls, games and entertainment for the whole community to enjoy.

This event is our main fundraiser for the year, bringing the community together and raising much needed funds to contribute to the running of our school and specifically to go towards a much-needed new stage, hall lighting and chairs. The church who owns all this equipment will cease using the hall from early 2020 and will be taking everything with them!

We have a wide range of ethnicities represented in our school and we would love to showcase them all at the Food Fair.

In order to create an event such as this, WE NEED YOUR HELP!  We are looking for people to be involved with:

· Running food stalls – do you have a signature dish you can prepare and sell en masse? Can you enlist your family and friends to help?

· Some ideas for food stalls so far are:

o Nachos

o Gourmet Burgers

o Briyani

o Dumplings

o Sausage Sizzle

o Pacifica – Raw fish

o Desserts

· Music and Entertainment – are you in a band, are you a DJ? Could you do a short set?

· Face painting

· Treasure Hunt

· Do you own a business or work for a business that could provide sponsorship to help us buy ingredients?

· Can you donate prizes or services that can be used for raffles?

We really need your help to make this event successful!
