Rūma 1b - Celebrating Diwali Poems

Amelia Le Cheminant —

Rūma Kotahi have created some rhyming poems to celebrate Diwali. Saal Mubarak!

Celebrating Diwali

Time to celebrate Diwali is here,

For this is the night that we will cheer.

Come with festivity and enjoy the beats,

We can eat some food and treats.

The candles are lit, all so bright,

For the Indian princess and her knight.

We can keep this tradition going,

If everybody who celebrates it just keeps growing!

Diwali

Come one, come all, Diwali is here,

Invite the family over, there's enough to share.

Go outside, see the rangoli patterns all around,

Colors up in the air and down on the ground.

Fireworks are lit, flying at a great height,

The sky is full of color, surprises and light.

Bring out the lollies, sweets and treats,

Then come along and dance to some Indian beats.

Time to go home, we hope you all had fun,

As this is the first night of many to come!

Diwali Poem

Diwali is full of shimmering lights,

A huge festival for five whole nights.

Rangoli patterns all over the floor,

OH MY GOSH, I want more!

Share a massive, big feast,

At this time nothing is small in the least!

Stay where the music is near,

There is absolutely nothing to fear.

Fireworks are making a beautiful light,

It definitely fills the sky at night.

Diwali Poem

Bright lights fill the sky as everyone cheers,

Come to celebrate, Diwali is here.

Mehndi patterns are drawn on hands,

While the chefs are inside, busy cooking with pans.

This amazing time lasts 5 whole nights,

It's a festival full of bright, fiery lights.

Rangoli patterns are drawn on the floor,

And everyone is always making some more.

Come and join us to get some sweet treats,

And help us eat some gigantic feasts.

So come and join us for lots of cheers,

Come to celebrate, Diwali is here!

Hey, it's Diwali and we got the beats.

Because we got the treats.

This is the time for Rangoli.

I'm not talking guacamole.

Don't forget the fireworks.

It's so good that I go berserk.

I love the Mehndi patterns, they are the best.

Also they are pretty blessed.

The prayers are said to be Lakshmi the goddess of wealth.

Because that means we all get good health.

Diwali is so fun!

You should come for the sake of the health of your MUM!!

Diwali

It's time to celebrate Diwali is here!

Let us all give it a big mighty cheer.

We can eat delicious Indian treats,

Or you can dance to the magnificent beats!

As fireworks start to light up the night,

Candles will shine and shimmer so bright.

Happy Diwali to all of us near,

And to all of us a happy new year!
