Term 2 Holidays: 10th to 25th July 2021

Kia ora e te whānau

If you are new to Kaurilands this year and haven't experienced Matariki with us before this is a very special event for our community to come together each year and we would love you to join us.

We warmly invite you and your whānau to join us on our annual Matariki hikoi and parakuihi (breakfast) on Friday the 2nd of July 2021.

The hikoi will begin at 6.00am. Please assemble from 5.45am at the corner of Kohu Road and The Drive. Once we are gathered on the maunga we will sing waiata, re-tell stories and whakatauki to commemorate the beginning of the Māori New Year.

On return to the kura we will have breakfast together. Normally we would conclude our morning with a Matariki celebration however this year because our hall is out of action there will not be an assembly. We are really looking forward to this much anticipated event and hope you are able to join us.

If you haven't already done so, please complete this form if you are planning to attend our hikoi and parakuihi (breakfast) to enable us to cater accordingly.
