On Wednesday 8th May, six students from Kaurilands School competed in a chess tournament at Fruitvale School.
Immanuel came first in the tournament and also won four special badges. The badges were for winning against a coach, winning all seven games, having three Queens at checkmate and for winning his age group. Congratulations Immanuel! Our team came third overall. Well done to everyone!
Chess Club is on during Thursday lunchtimes in Rūma Rima and players of all abilities are welcome.
