This term Rūma Tekau mā Iwa had Constable Carl come and visit our classroom. We learnt about road safety, walking on the house side of the footpath and that we need to stop, look and listen before crossing the road. Carl also taught us about car safety, the importance of wearing a seatbelt and how to get in and out of the car safely. We even got to sit in the police car and listen to the siren! As part of this, we did some amazing writing about what we had learnt.
