News from Rūma 9a

Robyn Applegate —

This term all our Year 3 and 4 classes are heading to the New Zealand Maritime Museum as part of their Inquiry. This week Rūma Iwa had their trip and what an amazing day it was! We had a great education session, learning lots about ocean navigation, and we got to explore the galleries in the impressive museum. The children also got an opportunity to sail the Auckland Harbour on the vintage scow, the 'Ted Ashby.' The volunteer crew on board made this a very special experience for our tamariki by involving them in sailing the boat!

Thank you to all our awesome parents helpers who came along. We hope all our other middle school classes enjoy their adventure to the Maritime Museum as much as we did!
