Unmaking and Upcycling

Rachel Thorpe —

Come and check out our cool creations made from YOUR e-Waste....... And what exactly IS a makerspace?

Thanks to everyone who has donated their e-waste. Unmaking Club kids have been LOVING seeing inside technology and reusing parts to make new creations. Nicholas Belt, our unmaking expert from Glen Eden Intermediate was been teaching us all about what different parts do. We've moved into Ruma Kowhai and we are starting to look at ways to reuse the parts we've discovered for other cool projects.

After school Unmaking is all full up for this term, but we will be unmaking at lunchtimes in week 1 of term 3. Email rachelt@kaurilands.school.nz if you would like to be on the waiting list for after school unmaking.

Makerspace is on nearly every lunchtime in Ruma Kowhai, with a different activity every week. Check out our school calendar to find out what's coming up.
