Y5 Camp at Carey Park

Year 5 Syndicate —

During Week 7, the Year 5 tamariki went to camp at Carey Park in Henderson Valley.   Boy did we have a blast!  The surroundings are beautiful, nestled in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges. The weather was settled which meant that we could have access to all of the planned activities.  The activities were Rock Climbing, Crate Stacking, Kayaking, Raft Building, River Games, Archery and the Confidence Course.  There was also an array of team building activities which the tamariki really enjoyed.

Camp is an exciting and challenging experience for our tamariki, as for many, this is their first time at camp and being away from home for 2 nights and 3 days can be a new experience too.  This camp really is a stepping stone for their big week long camp in Year 6.

Once again we were lucky to have such incredible support from our whānau.  Our camps and the activities that we set up really could not go ahead without you!
