Rm 8 —

Room 8 went to Dean Greenwood Swim School at Kelston’s Girls College last week and took part in a safe boating and snorkelling programme. They learnt about water safety.  They put on life jackets and learned what to do if their boat sank.  While snorkelling they did hand signals to each other.  Some of them were like “Are you ok” and “Swim that way”.  Some kids went to the deep end to do the same thing except they had to float because they couldn’t touch the bottom.  They learned about rescuing people if they are drowning and how to rescue someone if they are knocked unconscious.
