Principal's Message
Kia ora e te whānau
I hope you all enjoyed the Labour Weekend holiday and had some quality time with your whānau.
Term 4 is usually a pretty busy term so keep up to date with what is happening for your children through the weekly class teacher posts on Hero.
A very warm welcome to new children who have joined our school this term and to all new families. We really hope you will enjoy being part of this bustling community!
A special welcome to our Rūma Kowhai New Entrants and welcome back to Suzanne Freeman and Jay Oxley teaching the class this term. We are so lucky to have teachers of this calibre that we are able to call on for this very important job of starting the school journey of our 5 year olds.
We had a very busy day on Friday at our Teacher Only Day with our focus being split across the refreshed Curriculum in both Maths and English. There is a large amount of information for teachers to process to be ready for the beginning of the 2025 school year. We will need to take some time to meet with whānau to share changes in early 2025 and will keep you all informed as to when this will happen in the new year. For now let's get through 2024!
I'm really looking forward to seeing you all throughout this coming term. Feel free to pop in and see me or contact me at any time.
