Winners of the 2017 NZ Girls Inter-school Chess Championships - Primary Schools Division

On 10 August Anya, Sofia, Yolanda and Anita competed in the 2017 NZ Girls Team Championship at Te Atatu Peninsula School.  They convincingly won the Primary Schools section ahead of 10 other teams and brought home the impressive Team Trophy as well as two books about Chess as a gift to our school Library.   Anya, Sofia and Yolanda were also presented with special prizes for winning all 5 games on their respective boards!  Well done Team, fantastic effort, we look forward to watching you in the future.
