Principal's Message

Jo Augustine —

Kia ora e te whānau

Thanks to our Principal for the Day, Evangeline, for doing an excellent job of running the school! I might be out of a job soon!

"Today I got to be Principal of the whole school! I got to have pizza with my class and I wore a special Principal badge. I gave stickers out at Jump Jam and gave the teachers chocolates. The teachers asked me for a whole lot of requests and I made some of them happen!

I had morning tea in the staffroom with the teachers and my friends and my family. I spoke to the staff and made Mr V do a curtsey.

I marked children's work and gave them heaps of stickers and at the hui I gave out gotchas and class certificates.

My favourite thing to do was talking over the loud speaker. Being a Principal is fun and I hope I can be a Principal when I'm older".

Evangeline - Principal for the Day

As we head into the last week of Term 1 there is still so much going on.

On Tuesday we will announce all the 40 Easter basket winners. So many! Thanks to all those who donated and particularly Kath Klouwens who organised all the donations from our local supermarkets. Thank you to Super Value Titirangi, Fresh Choice Glen Eden and Countdown Kelston for their generous chocolate egg donations. Thank you also to Jackie Fletcher for wrapping up all the baskets!

A highlight for next week will be the Colour Run on Wednesday. This has been an incredible fundraising effort towards our library. Thank you all so much! The details of the Colour Run are all on the poster attached. We would love to see you there!

On Thursday we will hold our end of term assembly at 11.30am. All are welcome.

Remember that school finishes for the term on Thursday 6 April at 3pm and recommences for children on Wednesday 26 April. This is because we have a Teacher Only Day on Monday 24 April and ANZAC Day falls on Tuesday 25 April.

Room 18 opens on Wednesday 26 April and we welcome Lauren Cookson and all the new children coming in.

Finally! VERY IMPORTANT!!!  SAVE THE DATE:

SATURDAY 28 OCTOBER

This will be an enormous event for our school organised by Te Whānau Āwhina and our staff and an amazing event for all our famillies!
