News from Rūma 6

Franny O'Hanlon —

This term for Te Reo Māori, Rūma Ono has been learning about the seasons and numbers. In class the tamariki have been practising having conversations with each other while speaking about their age, when their birthdays are and what the seasons are.

For Inquiry we have been learning about light. We have made pinhole cameras and explored how light travels, what happens when it passes through water and prisms.

For Maths we explored 3D shapes for Geometry. The tamariki used magnetics as a hands-on way to understand what a net is and how these nets then fold into 3D shapes.
